Nga kōhatu - Painted rocks for sale

ROOM 30 PAINTED ROCKS FOR SALE

UP COMING ART EXHIBITION

The process for our artwork started in term 2.We washed the rocks, dried the rocks,we turned the rocks over.

We painted the rocks,
and painted the rocks
waited for the rocks to dry and dry and dry.

We planned,we made mistakes,we started again, until we were happy with our design.

Finally we were able to put our designs on the rocks.
We had to test what kind of paints work best.
We tested,
and tested,
and tested.

We found out that if we used felt pens we had to seal our drawings with water based varnish. We discovered nail polish works best but still needs sealing.

Whaea Carolyn sprayed the rocks, and sprayed the rocks, and sprayed the rocks with varnish.

And now they are ready!
for sale.

Unhappy rocks became happy rocks.
